LTC Staff Pharmacist | Chicora, Pennsylvania Pharmacy - Staff Pharmacist 15 days ago Chicora, PA A Long Term Care pharmacist opportunity is available for a licensed professional to support multiple skilled nursing, personal care, and hospice facilities. This contract role offers a chance to work 40 hours per week with a flexible schedule and potential for extension beyond the initial 1-month assignment. An 8-week contract will also be considered. Location: Chicora, PA Schedule Monday through Friday: 8:00 AM 6:00 PM Saturday: 8:00 AM 4:00 PM Sunday: 8:00 AM 3:00 PM Key Responsibilities Verify medication orders entered by data entry technicians for various care facilities Check packaged medications, including blister-packed, sterile, and non-sterile forms Respond to clinical inquiries from nursing facility staff, hospice nurses, and physicians Count and document controlled substances within the perpetual inventory system Inspect emergency medication boxes to ensure readiness and compliance Qualifications Active pharmacist license in good standing within Pennsylvania Minimum of 1 year pharmacist experience; Long Term Care experience preferred Proficiency with pharmacy operating systems such as QS1, Docutrack, and PCC Ability to perform physical tasks including sitting, standing, fine motor skills, visual acuity, and lifting up to 30 pounds This contract position requires attention to detail and strong communication skills to support critical medication management in long-term care settings.
