Geotech

Overview The Geotech will manage data and projects for the geoscience team, ensuring data quality, GIS support, and delivery of reports and analysis for oil and gas operations. Responsibilities Provide technical support and implement best workflow practices for geoscientists to generate high‑grade oil and gas opportunities. Create and manage well and seismic projects, ensuring geoscience staff access current, accurate data. Import, export, and conduct quality control of seismic, well, and related data to/from various applications; sync data across projects and systems. Offer GIS software application support and assist teams in generating maps and managing spatial data visualization. Keep supervisor informed of progress and recommend procedural or operational changes. Establish and maintain highly confidential record files, orders logs, and other required records. Interact with operations to collect and archive final well data. Accumulate and analyze data for reports; produce log cross sections. Transfer and load digital log and map data. Make computations and calculations to assist geologists in their analysis. Assist geologists in preparing reports, plans, and budgets. Ensure timely completion and accuracy of assigned projects. Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in petroleum engineering, geology, or a related science field. 5‑10 years of experience in oil and gas or a related industry. Experience with Petra and Kingdom software packages and supporting geophysical data management. Proficiency with O&G data sources such as IHS, Enverus, and TGS and familiarity with public data sources, including state and federal data. Proficiency with Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record that meets the company’s insurance qualifications for operating a company vehicle. Preferred: B.S./B.A. in math, science, or related field; experience with an E&P company in unconventional resource development. Preferred: Proficiency in project and database management and GIS experience, specifically QGIS software. Preferred: Familiarity with Spotfire and/or Power BI. Preferred: Development planning and/or operations experience. Core Competencies Well‑developed analytical and problem‑solving abilities. Ability to research information and conduct detailed studies.
