Lecturer Pool – Mathematics AY 2026/27 California State University, San Marcos – San Marcos, CA Type: Adjunct/Part‑Time Salary: $5,507 – $6,008 per month Position: Lecturer in Mathematics Academic Year: 2026/27 Day/Time: Varies Modality: In‑person College: College of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics Department: Mathematics About the Pool The Department of Mathematics at California State University San Marcos accepts applications on an ongoing basis for its pool of part‑time lecturers. The pool may be used to fill short‑term temporary Lecturer positions across our campus, from one day to an entire semester. Applications are valid only for the current academic year. The pool will close effective May 31. Minimum Qualifications A master’s degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field. Compliance with California State University’s Out‑of‑State Employment Policy – employment must be within California. Preferred Qualifications A terminal degree in the area of instruction or a closely related field. Demonstrated intercultural competence and commitment to serving the campus community in teaching and, as applicable, service. Salary commensurate with degree level and experience. Salary Range Anticipated Hiring Salary Range: $5,507 – $6,008 per full‑time month. CSU Classification salary ranges: Lecturer A – AY: $5,507 – $6,677 per full‑time month. Lecturer B – AY: $6,221 – $13,224 per full‑time month. Anticipated hiring will generally be at or near the minimum of the appropriate range, commensurate with education and experience.
