Registered Nurse (RN) - Cardiac Telemetry

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Cardiac Telemetry unit. The successful candidate will provide high-quality patient care and support to individuals with various cardiac conditions.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess patients with cardiovascular issues, including but not limited to chest pain, NSTEMI/STEMI, atrial fibrillation, and congestive heart failure.
• Conduct left and right heart catheterizations, transesophageal echocardiograms (TEE), and stress tests.
• Perform cardioversions and assist with pacemaker and ICD insertions.
• Administer medications and manage treatment plans for patients experiencing acute myocardial infarction and other cardiac events.
• Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding cardiac health and treatment options.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.

Qualifications

• Current and valid RN license.
• Minimum of 2 years of nursing experience in a cardiac telemetry or similar unit; first-time travelers are not accepted.
• Strong assessment, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

Schedule

The position requires night shifts, with a 3x12 hour schedule. Weekend shifts will be required every other weekend. Additionally, you may be expected to work on designated major holidays.

Orientation and Compliance

Full compliance is required to ensure timely start. Orientation hours vary based on contract length.

Additional Information

Local candidates are accepted at the same rate. This position entails floating within facility/scope of practice as needed.
