About the role

As a member of the Moree Engineering Team, you will be responsible for the day-to-day maintenance of hospital plant and equipment, ensuring our facilities remain safe, functional and well maintained.

You will work collaboratively with other trades and health service staff and may be required to assist with projects, refurbishments and other maintenance activities across HNELHD facilities.

What you'll be doing

• Carry out day-to-day maintenance of hospital plant, equipment and facilities.
• Work collaboratively with other trades on new projects and building refurbishments.
• Assist other trades as required to support the effective operation of the facility.
• Work efficiently as part of a team and with minimal supervision.
• Read and interpret construction plans and schedules.
• Ensure work is completed in accordance with the Building Code of Australia (BCA), local authority requirements, Work Health and Safety (WHS) standards and Australian Standards.
• Travel and stay away from home at other HNE facilities and sites as required.
• Provide professional and respectful customer service to patients, visitors and staff.
• Undertake other duties as directed by the Construction Manager.

What you'll be doing

Under the direction of the Construction Manager, undertake building and construction works on HNE Projects to ensure provision of high quality work with minimum disruptions to patients and staff of the facilities.
