The Afterschool Site Coordinator is responsible for the daily operation and supervision of an afterschool program located at a school site. This position ensures that students have a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment after the regular school day. The Site Coordinator provides leadership to program staff, communicates with school personnel and families, coordinates daily activities, maintains accurate records, and ensures that program policies and safety procedures are followed.

M-F, 1-6 PM

Essential Responsibilities

• Oversee the daily operations of the afterschool program at the assigned school site.
• Ensure a safe, positive, inclusive, and supportive environment for all students.
• Supervise and provide direction to afterschool staff, instructors, and volunteers.
• Plan and coordinate age-appropriate enrichment, recreational, academic support, and social-emotional activities.
• Establish and maintain positive relationships with students, families, school staff, and community partners.
• Coordinate student arrival, dismissal, attendance, sign-in/sign-out, and authorized pick-up procedures.
• Monitor student behavior and implement appropriate classroom and program management strategies.
• Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student participation, behavior, and program activities.
• Work collaboratively with school administration and teachers to support student needs and maintain alignment with school-site expectations.
• Ensure that staff follow all health, safety, supervision, emergency, and child-protection procedures.
• Maintain accurate attendance records, incident reports, staff schedules, and other required program documentation.
• Assist with staff training, onboarding, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Conduct regular checks of classrooms and program spaces to ensure they are clean, organized, and appropriate for student activities.
• Help coordinate special events, family engagement activities, field trips, and enrichment opportunities.
• Monitor program supplies and assist with ordering and maintaining necessary materials.
• Address student and parent concerns professionally and communicate significant issues to program leadership.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow established school and program emergency procedures.
• Ensure the program operates in accordance with organizational policies, school-site requirements, and applicable licensing or regulatory standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
