Financial AnalystA growing, non-automotive manufacturer is seeking a financial analyst to complete site closing, budgeting, reporting, and financial analysis. Daily responsibilities will include:Leading and completing the site closing process, including journal entries, fixed assets, cost, and analysisPartnering with various departments to establish and monitor in-house budgetsCompleting actual versus budget analysisPerforming cost center reportingEvaluating standard cost, monitoring cost, and making any needed adjustmentsPartnering with all facets of production, materials, and engineering in order to ensure accurate product costingAssisting with external auditsCompleting analysis and review of the P&LChampioning GAAP analysis and complianceOverseeing multiple finance and analysis projects at a time, while completing them in a timely mannerImproving financial processes, measurables, and KPIsOther duties as assigned by managementCompany is seeking a confident finance professional with excellent hands-on skill sets. Candidates should be able to communicate at all levels and partner with site leaders to complete analysis and review of reporting structures. The qualified individual will promote a team-oriented environment, be able to work on multiple projects at a time, and enjoy detailed analysis. The company offers a good work/life balance and flexibility.Requirements for the manufacturing financial analyst:A bachelor's degree is required, ideally in finance and/or accountingAt least five years of similar manufacturing financial analyst positionExperience working in manufacturing and/or distribution environmentsExperience leading or contributing to the monthly closing processA general understanding of budgeting processesExperience with P&L and balance sheetsExperience with financial and/or accounting reportingStrong financial analysis skillsExpert knowledge of GAAP requirements and guidelinesA general understanding of cost accountingExceptional Microsoft Excel skillsSkills preferred but not required:SAP experienceSupervision of othersExperience working for an international companyCandidates are preferred to be local to the Findlay, Ohio area; there is not a relocation package available at this time.
