PositionOverview: TheBuildingAutomationTechniciancommissionsnewbuildingautomationsystems,performspreventivemaintenance,andrespondstoservicecalls.Thisrolediagnosesandresolvestechnicalissuestoensurereliablesystemperformanceandcustomersatisfaction.Thetechnicianworkswithinternalteamsandcustomerstosupportsystemstart-up,integration,troubleshooting,andtraining.On-the-jobtrainingisprovidedtosupporttechnicalskillgrowthandcareerdevelopment. KeyResponsibilities TheBuildingAutomationTechnician supportstheinstallation,start-up,commissioning,integration,andmaintenanceofbuildingautomationsystemswithafocusonequipment-leveloperation.Thisroleassistswithtestingsequencesofoperation,performingstartupandfunctionalchecksonHVACequipment,validatingalarmsandsafeties,andtuningcontrolloopsandsetpoints.ThetechnicianworkscloselywithTABcontractorsandmechanicalteamstoresolveequipment-specificcontrolissues. Thetechnicianalsoprovidesonsitetraining,assistswithtroubleshooting,andmaintainsaccuraterecordsofinstallations,servicecalls,maintenance,andprojectactivitieswithincompanydatabaseswhilemaintainingstrongknowledgeofbuildingautomationsystems(BAS)andHVACcontrols.Thisrolecommunicatestechnologycapabilitiestotechnicalandbusinessusers,identifiescustomerneedsandsalesopportunitiestosupportgrowth,andresolvescustomerissuesinalignmentwithcompanygoalsandvalues. Qualifications 3–6yearsBASorHVACcontrolsexperience JourneymanHVACTechnicianorequivalentexperience FamiliaritywithBASprogrammingenvironments Abilitytoreadarchitectural,mechanical,andelectricalblueprints Understandingofbasicelectricalsystemsandnetworkcommunications(TCP/IP,Ethernet,VPN) Validdriver’slicensewithcleandrivingrecordandabilitytoobtainaDOTphysical Abilitytotravelapproximately25percent OSHA10certificationpreferred WhatWeOffer Competitivepaybasedonexperience.
