Description

JOB SUMMARY:

To provide the next operation with a quality product by sanding to tolerance.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Working from work orders, specifications, procedures, and detailed instructions to sand basic parts.

• Operates pneumatic and hand sanding tools to prepare basic furniture parts at the raw stage, or prior to build-coat /topcoat processes.

• Maintains close mental and visual attention to meet tolerance of finish per process.

• Responsible for own work.

• Performs other related duties as required.

Qualifications

EDUCATION:

• Must have a high school diploma, an equivalent certificate, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification, and Textron Aviation's blueprint reading class preferred.

EXPERIENCE:

• 6 months of sanding experience.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Somewhat disagreeable working conditions with exposure to dust, noise, heat, fumes and liquids. Safety shoes and protective clothing could be required.
