Bliss Spa and Wellness is seeking a skilled, compassionate, and client-focused Licensed Massage Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide professional massage therapy services tailored to each client's needs, helping promote relaxation, relieve muscle tension, and enhance overall well-being.

The Massage Therapist will be responsible for conducting client consultations, recommending appropriate massage techniques, maintaining a clean and tranquil treatment environment, and delivering a consistently high-quality spa experience. We are looking for someone with strong technical skills, excellent interpersonal abilities, and a genuine passion for helping clients feel relaxed, refreshed, and rejuvenated.

Previous professional massage therapy experience is preferred. Candidates must meet applicable licensing or certification requirements for the location where they will practice.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform professional massage therapy services, including Swedish, deep tissue, relaxation, and other techniques within the therapist's qualifications and scope of practice.
• Conduct client consultations to understand health considerations, preferences, areas of tension, and desired treatment outcomes.
• Customize massage sessions based on individual client needs, comfort levels, and treatment goals.
• Explain available massage services, techniques, and expected benefits to clients.
• Maintain clear and professional communication with clients before, during, and after each session.
• Ensure client comfort, privacy, and professional boundaries throughout every treatment.
• Follow applicable health, safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards.
• Clean, sanitize, and prepare treatment rooms, massage tables, linens, and equipment before and after each appointment.
• Maintain appropriate draping practices and respect client confidentiality at all times.
• Document relevant client preferences, treatment notes, and session details in accordance with spa procedures and privacy requirements.
• Provide general aftercare recommendations and wellness guidance within the scope of professional practice.
• Manage appointments efficiently and coordinate with spa staff regarding scheduling and client requests.
• Monitor massage supplies and notify management when inventory needs replenishment.
• Maintain a calm, welcoming, and professional atmosphere throughout the spa.
• Build positive client relationships and encourage repeat visits through excellent service.
• Participate in training and professional development to maintain and improve massage therapy skills.
• Perform other related duties as assigned by spa management.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Valid massage therapy license or certification, as required by applicable state and local regulations.
• Previous experience working in a spa, wellness center, massage clinic, resort, or similar environment is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of massage techniques, body mechanics, and client comfort and safety practices.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Professional, respectful, compassionate, and attentive to client needs.
• Strong understanding of sanitation, hygiene, and treatment room preparation.
• Ability to maintain appropriate professional boundaries and client confidentiality.
• Good time-management and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with the spa team.
• Physical ability to perform massage therapy duties safely, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Passion for wellness, relaxation, and delivering exceptional client experiences.
