Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Emergency Department RN for a Level 2 trauma unit requiring 2 years of ER experience and ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications.

Details

• Level 2 trauma Emergency Department with a 22-bed unit
• High acuity ED managing complex patient cases
• Patient ratios of 3 to 4:1
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• EMR: Epic
• Floating required, with travelers prioritized to float, including to sister campuses

Requirements

• Active FL or compact RN license
• Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NIHSS certifications required
• TNCC and ENPC certifications preferred
• Minimum 2 years of ER experience in a similarly sized facility required
• Nursing degree accreditation must be documented, or 5 years of experience required in lieu of accreditation
• Driver's license address must match address on file with the Board of Nursing
• Documents required for consideration: SSN card, driver's license, and COVID/Flu vaccination records

Additional Information

• Provide emergency nursing care in a high acuity trauma setting
• Travelers are expected to fully integrate and function as core staff
• Prior travel nurse experience preferred
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to qualify for travel positioning, with strict enforcement including property ownership checks
• Orientation begins on a Friday, with in-person attendance required for badge and ID
• All requested time off (RTO) must be submitted prior to starting the assignment, as it will not be approved afterward
• No block scheduling requests permitted
• Candidates must be prepared to secure full-time housing in the area for the duration of the assignment
• Hard documentation deadline is the Monday prior to start date, with no exceptions for pending items
