Description: The position may float between units, possibly to another facility 25 minutes away. On-call is not required. Weekends are required every other week. Block scheduling is required. Expected patient ratios are 1:3. The facility is a critical access hospital with 23 total staff beds. The daily census is approximately 10 patients. The unit may care for patients of all age groups, including neonates and adults. Various patient diagnoses and special procedures may be encountered in the unit. Special equipment typically used in the unit includes high flow nasal cannula, BiPAP, and CPAP. The position requires skills in adult critical care and emergency department procedures. Compliance with all job requirements is expected, including floating as necessary. Two references covering one year of experience within the last three years are required for compliance.
