Radiology Technician

The Indian Health Service (IHS) is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with Mammography Certification to provide imaging services at the Mescalero Service Unit. The technologist will be responsible for performing diagnostic Radiographic and Mammographic examinations to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients.

$100,000 - $135,000 a year

Key Responsibilities:

• PerformRadiologicandMammographic proceduresin accordance with established protocols and safety standards.
• Operate and maintain Radiographic and mammography equipment.
• Prepare patients for imaging procedures, ensuring comfort and proper positioning.
• Ensure compliance withradiation safety standardsand hospital policies.
• Maintain accuratepatient recordsand imaging reports.
• Work collaboratively with physicians and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient care.
• Follow guidelines set byIndian Health Service (IHS)and other regulatory bodies.
• Maintain high standards ofinfection control and equipment maintenance.

Required Qualifications:

• Certification as a Radiologic Technologist(ARRT or equivalent).
• Mammography Certification(ARRT(M) preferred).
• Minimumone year of experiencein radiology and mammography.
• Knowledge ofRadiographic techniques, safety protocols, and patient care standards.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Compliance withIndian Economic Enterprise (IEE) Buy Indian Actpreferred.
