Conference and Events Assistant II The Conference & Event Assistant II is responsible for ensuring that the Unions common area and event spaces are cleaned, set up and event ready. Assist with setup of basic audio visual equipment. Loading & unloading of event equipment from trucks, storage areas and transport to event spaces. Ensure event spaces are arranged according to client specifications. Cleaning & Upkeep of Event Spaces Clean event areas before and after each event to ensure spaces are tidy and ready for next event or client tours. Ensure event spaces meet ADA and Fire Code compliance to maintain safety and accessibility standards. Identify necessary repairs and complete necessary work tickets. Building Support Audit events to ensure they are executed according to client requests and event agenda. Keep storage areas organized and maintained. Assist with furniture, equipment and office moves. Delivery and pick up of interdepartmental mail, equipment and products to various department outlets. Safety Follow all building and employee safety protocols. Act as point of contact for on-site issues and address them promptly with minimal disruptions to events. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Ability to effectively communicate with staff, students and clients. Physical Requirements Ability to lift and transport up to 50 lbs. Ability to operate dollies, carts and other equipment to move heavy objects safely and efficiently. Minimum Qualifications High school diploma or equivalency is required. Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience, or equivalent combination of education and work experience. Must have a valid driver's license and ability to drive according to the University Fleet Safety Policy. Preferred Qualifications None specified.
