Physician - Hospitalist

Job Title: Hospitalist
Location: Flagstaff, Arizona
Schedule: 8:00AM - 5:00PM x 5
Term: 13-week assignment with the potential for extension.
Pay Rate : $176 - $190/hr

Astrya Global, a San Diego based medical staffing agency, is hiring a Hospitalist for a temporary assignment in Flagstaff, Arizona. These positions are 13-week locum tenens contracts with the ability to extend.

Responsibilities for a Hospitalist:

• Perform hospital admissions as part of the Admit shift (6a-6p), Swing shift (4p-4a or 10a-10p), and Night shift (6p-6a)
• Conduct cross-coverage of inpatient hospital patients during overnight hours (6p-6a), excluding ICU patients
• Manage a patient panel of 20-30 patients per day as part of a collective service
• Provide care for all age groups across the patient population
• Work within a closed ICU environment where admissions must be accepted by the intensivist on duty
• Collaborate with intensivists and other physicians during overnight coverage shifts
• Utilize Cerner EMR for all clinical documentation and patient charting
• Complete remote Cerner training/orientation (approximately 4 hours) prior to start date
• Maintain board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine (BE or BC required)
• Maintain current ACLS certification
• Maintain active DEA registration
• Maintain valid Arizona medical license or have IMLC Letter of Qualification in hand
• Complete medical records in a timely manner and address any documentation deficiencies promptly
• Adhere to COVID-19 and Flu vaccination requirements or obtain approved exemption
• Submit timesheets and expenses within 30 days with required documentation
