Advancement Communications Manager

Position Summary Nobles seeks an advancement communications manager to shape and elevate the school’s philanthropic communications. This role translates the school’s mission and strategic priorities into clear, compelling narratives that inspire generosity and illuminate the impact of donor support. Housed in the marketing and communications department and working in close partnership with the development team, the advancement communications manager aligns institutional storytelling with fundraising priorities, bringing clarity, creativity, and consistency to all donor-facing and graduate communications. Through thoughtful collaboration and strong project leadership, the advancement communications manager leads the development of messaging and materials that deepen relationships, steward generosity, and reflect both the heart and ambition of Nobles, to reinforce its strength and further its growth. Responsibilities Develop and execute a comprehensive annual communications calendar for the development and graduate affairs department. Write, design, and produce strategic, high-quality advancement communications, including direct mail appeals, email campaigns, digital content, graduate magazine content, and graduate and planned giving newsletters. Manage the development and graduate affairs section of the school website, ensuring content is current, donor-centered, and aligned with institutional priorities and values. Assist with the content development and production of the annual report and graduate magazine. Create clear, meaningful impact reports for endowed funds and scholarship donors. Analyze engagement and performance metrics to refine messaging, strengthen storytelling, and improve conversion and response rates. Oversee the design and production of select event-related materials and ensure timely, thoughtful post-event communications and stewardship. Help oversee the Graduate Affairs social media presence on LinkedIn and Instagram. Advance inclusive storytelling practices that reflect the full diversity of the Nobles community and communicate the school’s values of access, belonging, and generosity with care and integrity. Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor. Nights or weekends may be required. Qualifications Hold a bachelor’s degree 3–5 years of experience in communications, marketing, or development (independent school experience is a significant plus). Exceptional writing skills in short and long form Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong aesthetic sensibility, with an eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling Creative problem‑solving and collaboration as a team player Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituencies within the school’s internal and external communities Ability to work independently, prioritize, balance, and manage multiple short‑ and long‑term projects in an extremely fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment Meticulous attention to detail Facility and aptitude with current social media formats required Familiarity with donor databases (RE/NXT) Fluency in email marketing tools (Mailchimp/Constant Contact) and design software (Canva/Adobe Creative Suite) Knowledge of AP and Chicago Style Candidates must be eligible to work in the U.S. #J-18808-Ljbffr Noble and Greenough School
