Are you detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and passionate about healthcare? We’re seeking a dedicated Assistant to support our Optometrist in delivering life-changing care to patients with vision disorders.  Will provide Training as needed.

???? Position Overview:

As an Optometry Assistant, you’ll play a vital role in the patient care experience by handling:

• ✅ Specialized pre-testing using advanced diagnostic equipment (visual fields, retinal camera, VEP, etc.)
• ✅ Cleaning and tidying of examination rooms and equipment 
• ✅ Accurate data entry into electronic health records (EHR)
• ✅ Scanning and organizing patient documents
• ✅ Administrative support: Generating reports and designing forms when needed
• ✅ Educating patients and caregivers on treatments as indicated by doctor 
• ✅ Coordination between doctor and therapists to support ongoing care plans

???? Ideal Candidate:

• Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
• Knowledge of or ability to learn medical terminology, technology and software
• Friendly and professional bedside manner; ability to connect with people
• Comfortable working with elderly, toddlers, and people with special needs
• Experience in eye care is a plus (but not required – we’ll train the right person!)
• Passion for helping people recover and thrive

???? Education & Skills:

• Associate’s Degree or two years of college
• Medical or optometric assistant certification is a plus
• Proficiency in typing and basic software systems (EHR, Microsoft Office)
