Tree Worker Ground Person Laborer PT/FT

Job Description

The Tree Worker Ground Person Laborer plays a crucial role in supporting all phases of tree care, including removals, pruning, and yard cleanup. This position involves operating various equipment, such as stump grinders, chainsaws, and bucket trucks, while adhering to safety protocols. The role requires a valid Connecticut driver’s license and commitment to maintaining a drug and alcohol-free workplace . We are willing to train. We have both part-time and full-time options available.

Responsibilities

Operate equipment including stump grinders, chainsaws, bucket trucks, and wood splitters
Perform tree removals, pruning, and branch chipping
Clean up yards following tree work
Use ropes and rigging techniques safely
Assist with climbing and bucket truck operations as needed
Drive equipment to customer locations with a valid license
Maintain compliance with safety procedures and drug-free workplace policies
Perform manual labor tasks to support tree care projects

Preferred Qualifications

Entry-level experience in tree work or arboriculture
Must be able to drive a standard 6 speed truck
High School Diploma or equivalent
Connecticut Driver's License
Proficiency in chainsaw operation and rope rigging
Experience operating bucket trucks and stump grinders
Ability to climb trees safely
Knowledge of safety procedures and teamwork skills
Good communication and ground support abilities
