Location: Queens, Brooklyn, Bronx , Manhattan and Staten Island, NY

Rate: $17/hour

We are seeking a passionate  Direct Support Professiona l . The candidate must be dedicated to supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in achieving meaningful employment. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a vital role in enhancing the quality of life for individuals with disabilities or special needs. Your primary responsibility will be to provide compassionate and personalized support to clients in various settings, including residential homes and community environments. You will assist individuals in achieving their personal goals while ensuring their rights and dignity are upheld.

Schedule: Per diem Shifts

Shift Schedule : 7-3pm, 3-11pm & 11-7am

Job Summary:
The Direct Support Professional (DSP) supports individuals with daily living needs and helps them achieve maximum independence. The DSP works under the direction of the agency team and follows each individual’s plan of care.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
• Support socialization, recreation, and community participation
• Advocate for individual rights and preferences
• Follow safety and emergency procedures
• Work scheduled shifts and complete required trainings
• Perform additional duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Direct care experience preferred
• HHA, PCA, CNA, or Home Attendant certification preferred

Skills & Abilities:

• Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively in English
• Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
• Ability to handle stressful situations with patience and professionalism

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and transfer up to 50 lbs
• Must meet physical demands of direct care work

Work Location: In person

Educational Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience caring for individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
