School Nurse

Clinical NurseThe Clinical Nurse provides direct care to residents and students as ordered by consulting physicians.Benefits IncludeMedical, dental, vision, and supplemental insurance options, including HSA match for qualifying contributions.Parental Paid LeaveRetirement savings plan with company match.Paid time off and holiday pay.Mileage reimbursement.Tuition reimbursement available.Company sponsored learning and developmentResponsibilitiesOther duties may be assigned as necessary.Provides health assessment of each client for general health maintenance, evaluation of illness and injury and any necessary follow up care.Administers medications and treatment as prescribed by the attending physician.Communicates with outside referral sources, providers, parents/guardians, and insurance companies.Provides accurate documentation of illness, injuries and other nursing related issues.Obtains lab specimens as needed.Administers immunizations and TB testing of children.Administers and reads tuberculosis testing of staff, if required.Participates on Treatment Teams of children.Conducts medical assessments on clients after restraints and/or seclusions, as indicated.Collects Health Office data and generates reports as requested by the Director of Nursing and Medical Services.Monthly monitoring of resident BMI, heights, weights, and vital signs.Transcribes orders, maintains supplies, and administers medications and procedures documenting accordingly.Completes admissions screenings and documents accordingly.Triages, schedules, and assists with doctor examinations as necessary.Assists with the training of staff in various areas; medication management, CPR, and first aid.Participates in team meetings.Attends trainings and meetings as required.Shares/transmits the mission and vision of Arrow Child & Family Ministries to staff and to clients and families served.Perform all duties within contract, state and federal regulations, Arrow policy, and COA standards.May be required to drive vehicles, be insurable with our auto insurance provider, and complete Arrow's vehicle training.Occasional travel may be required.QualificationsHigh School diploma or GED with current MD Board of Nursing license as a Registered Nurse (RN) or a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN), and at least two (2) years of experience, preferably in a residential setting or school setting.
