Job Goal: To provide instructional support to students through high dosage tutoring.

Terms of Employment: 28 hours per week

Evaluation: Performance Evaluation annually

Compensation: Hourly rate as set forth in LPSB Salary Schedule and Pay Rates

Performance Responsibilities

1. Deliver high-dosage tutoring sessions in literacy and/or mathematics to small groups of students (no more than four students per tutor), ensuring individualized attention and targeted instructional support.

2. Utilize Louisiana Student Standards–aligned instructional materials and curricula that reinforce classroom instruction driven by high-quality instructional materials and incorporate evidence-based instructional practices, including the Science of Reading for literacy instruction when applicable.

3. Provide tutoring sessions embedded within the school day a minimum of three times per week for approximately 30 minutes per session over a sustained period of at least ten weeks, consistent with Louisiana high-dosage tutoring guidance.

4. Deliver structured lessons designed to accelerate student learning and support access to grade-level content.

5. Implement formative assessments and progress monitoring tools to evaluate student growth and adjust instructional strategies as needed to meet individual learning needs.

6. Use student performance data to adjust tutoring groups as needed, maintaining flexible grouping practices that respond to student progress and instructional needs.

7. Support the implementation and monitoring of Individual Student Academic Plans (ISAPs) by providing targeted instruction aligned to identified academic needs and documenting student progress toward intervention goals.

8. Collaborate regularly with classroom teachers, instructional staff, and school leadership to ensure tutoring supports classroom learning priorities and reinforces key standards addressed in the regular education setting.

9. Maintain consistent relationships with assigned students throughout the tutoring cycle to support engagement, trust, and instructional continuity.

10. Communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress and strategies that support continued learning when appropriate.

11. Maintain accurate records of tutoring sessions, student progress data, and instructional adjustments to support school and district monitoring of high-dosage tutoring implementation and effectiveness.

12. Take necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, equipment, books, materials, and facilities.

13. Assist in upholding and enforcing school rules, administrative regulations, and Board policies.

14. Demonstrate punctuality and professionalism in fulfilling assigned duties and responsibilities.

15. Assist in maintaining a classroom or tutoring environment that is organized, structured, and conducive to learning.

Professional Responsibilities

1. Maintain professional personal appearance and demonstrate respect for colleagues.

2. Attend work regularly; report to work on time; and provide advance notice of need for absence.

3. Complete work efficiently and accurately (with few/no errors) within deadlines without supervision.

4. Perform job responsibilities consistently, use time wisely, plan properly, take care of materials and equipment.

5. Maintain confidentiality and demonstrate trustworthiness; exercise good judgment.

6. Support, implement, assist with, and/or ensure application of district initiatives and other programs or directives of the Superintendent and Board.

7. Keep direct supervisor informed of the progress being made in area(s) of responsibility.

8. Report to the Lincoln Parish School Board as needed or directed.

9. Keep abreast professionally by attending local, regional, state, or national meetings and/or staff development that address area(s) of responsibility as directed by supervisor.

10. Complete and submit all forms, reports, documentation, and trainings by required dates and in accordance with district policies and procedures.

11. Remain open to suggestions and innovative ideas; receive and apply feedback.

12. Demonstrate competence in areas of responsibility.

13. Exert every effort to constructively involve stakeholders in all professional settings.

14. Communicate appropriately and work effectively with all populations.

15. 16. Follow the specific requirements established by the School Board (LEA), State Department of Education (SDE), the State Board of Elementary and Secondary Education (SBESE), and/or Federal regulations and guidelines established by each.

17. Perform any duty, not specifically assigned, as deemed necessary by the assigning authority in order to maintain continuity where needed.
