Essential skills and qualifications:

• Certification: A Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or equivalent certification is required.
• Experience: Previous experience in sterile processing is necessary, often with a minimum of 2-3 years.
• Technical knowledge: In-depth knowledge of sterilization techniques, infection control, and automated sterilization systems is critical.
• Leadership and communication: Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills are crucial for managing a team and coordinating with other hospital staff.
