FP&A Analyst

We're looking for an FP&A Analyst to join the team supporting financial reporting and performance analysis across our rental business segments. This role sits at the intersection of Sales and Finance — translating commercial performance into financial results and helping the business understand why the numbers move the way they do. The core focus of this role is supporting the ongoing development of our profit allocation tool. What You’ll Do: Prepare recurring and ad hoc reporting on business segment performance (e.g., corporate accounts, channels, geographies, rate/mix) Analyze P&L results against sales plans, forecast, and prior year; identify and explain key drivers of variance Support the Sales–Finance link by translating account/segment performance trends into financial terms sales leaders can act on, and vice versa Assist in building out and maintaining the revenue and cost allocation tool — including logic for attributing P&L cost lines down to the rental agreement level, and applying driver-based allocation methods for costs that can’t be directly attributed Partner with IT, Risk, and other Finance teams to gather requirements, test logic, and validate outputs as the allocation tool evolves Pull and manipulate data from internal systems (Oracle/OCI, Redshift, etc.) using SQL; build and maintain models/reporting in Excel Support month-end closing and reporting cycles with accurate, timely deliverables Step in to support the wider Commercial Finance team on ad hoc projects and priority requests Continuously looking for ways to improve reporting efficiency and data quality Perks You’ll Get: Access to Medical, Dental, Vision, Life and Disability insurance Eligible to elect other voluntary benefits including: Group Auto Insurance, Group Home Insurance, Pet Insurance, Legal Assistance, Identity Theft Protection, FSA, Accident Insurance, Critical Illness Insurance, and additional life insurance coverages 401(k) Retirement Plan with company matched contributions Full training to learn the business and enhance professional skills Employee discounts, including discounted prices on the purchase of Avis/Budget cars Access to an Employee Assistance Program for services including counseling, financial and legal consultation, referrals for care service and more What We’re Looking For: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills — comfortable digging into data to find the "why" Working knowledge of P&L structure and financial analysis fundamentals Clear written and verbal communication skills; able to work cross-functionally Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; comfort with the broader Microsoft Office suite SQL/Python proficiency a strong plus Familiarity with applying AI/automation tools to reporting and analysis workflows is a plus A genuine curiosity and enthusiasm for the business, not just the numbers Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field (or equivalent experience) Who We Are: Here at Avis Budget Group, you will be joining a team of 25,000 driven people, performing with purpose.
