Job Summary:
The CT Technologist position is located in Brooklyn, New York. This role involves performing computed tomography (CT) procedures while adhering to prescribed protocols to ensure image quality and patient safety. The technologist will also be responsible for equipment calibration, quality control, and radiopharmaceutical administration, supporting accurate diagnostics in a fast-paced imaging department.

Job Details:

• Schedule: 7:30 AM 3:00 PM, minimum of 37.5 hours per week.
• Required Qualifications: Valid New York State license as a radiologic technologist, ARRT certification in radiography and CT, BLS certification, and at least 1 year of CT experience. Graduate of Radiologic Technologist program.
• Preferred Qualifications: None specified.
• Additional Information: Requires utilization of appropriate kilovolt (kV) and milliampere (mA) techniques to ensure quality diagnostic images. Performs daily quality control calibration checks. Responsible for administering radiopharmaceuticals, ordering doses, verifying receipt, and maintaining documentation in compliance with regulatory policies. Exercises judgment in assessing patient needs before, during, and after imaging procedures, following radiation safety guidelines to uphold the ALARA principle.
