We are looking for someone who genuinely loves people, loves creating experiences, and knows how to sell without feeling “salesy.” The Opportunity The Resident Experience & Leasing Specialist will be the face of The Common. This is a highly customer-service-driven role with a significant leasing and sales component. You will be responsible for creating a warm, welcoming experience for current and prospective residents while helping drive occupancy and leasing performance. The right person will naturally make people feel comfortable. They are energetic, personable, polished and genuinely interested in others. They can walk into a room and make people feel welcome, and then turn around and confidently sell someone on why The Common should be their next home. This role would be an excellent fit for someone coming from a luxury apartment community, boutique hospitality, hotel, restaurant, high-end retail, events or other customer‑experience-driven environment. Resident Experience & Customer Service Serve as a welcoming and engaging point of contact for residents, prospective residents, guests and visitors. Build genuine relationships with residents and create an environment where people feel known, valued and heard. Respond to resident questions, concerns and requests with professionalism, urgency and a solutions-oriented mindset. Proactively identify opportunities to improve the resident experience. Maintain a polished, welcoming and professional presence throughout the leasing office and community. Help create a community culture that residents are proud to be part of. Look for opportunities to surprise and delight residents through thoughtful service and personal touches. Partner closely with the onsite management team to address resident concerns and escalated issues appropriately. Leasing & Sales Respond to prospective resident inquiries quickly, professionally and enthusiastically. Conduct engaging property and apartment tours that focus on the lifestyle and experience of living at The Common, not simply the physical features of the property. Learn each prospect's needs and preferences and tailor the tour accordingly. Build rapport with prospects and confidently communicate the value of The Common. Follow up consistently with prospects throughout the leasing process. Convert tours and leads into applications and leases. Maintain strong knowledge of availability, pricing, specials, amenities and community features. Meet or exceed established leasing and occupancy goals. Maintain accurate leasing activity and prospect records in AppFolio. Work with the team to identify opportunities to improve lead conversion and leasing performance. Participate in outreach and relationship‑building with local businesses, employers and community partners. Community Building & Events Help plan, coordinate and execute engaging resident events and experiences. Assist with partnerships with local businesses, restaurants, artists, fitness professionals and other vendors. Help develop creative ideas for events and resident engagement. Be present and actively engaged at resident events, including occasional evening events. Help promote events and encourage resident participation. Capture appropriate social media content and help showcase the personality and lifestyle of The Common. Develop relationships with residents that extend beyond transactional property management interactions. What We’re Looking For We’re looking for a people person first. You may have apartment leasing experience, but you don't have to. We are equally interested in someone who has excelled in a luxury hotel, restaurant, boutique hospitality environment, high‑end retail, event venue or another role where exceptional customer experience and relationship building were critical to success. Comfortable handling difficult conversations professionally. Detail‑oriented and dependable. Comfortable using technology and learning new systems. Someone who takes pride in their appearance and professional presentation. Someone who understands that hospitality is about how you make people feel. Experience Preferred 1+ year of experience in multifamily leasing, luxury hospitality, hotel, restaurant, retail, events or another customer‑facing sales/service environment. Experience in a luxury or lifestyle‑focused environment is a plus. Previous leasing experience is preferred but not required for the right candidate. Experience planning or participating in events is a plus. AppFolio or other property management software experience is a plus. Required Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work weekends as part of a rotating schedule. Ability to work occasional evenings for resident events. Ability to successfully complete required company screening and training.
