Full Time Boca Raton, FL, US Summary The ideal candidate should have 5-10 years instructing all skill levels in a luxury club or resort setting. Playing experience at the college or professional level. This individual should be self-motivated and have the ability to demonstrate a friendly and hospitable demeanor in a high pressure, fast paced outdoor environment. Essential Functions Facilitate and organize club events for members, conference groups and social guests. Develop and maintain strong relationships with members while representing the TBR mission, vision and values Plan organize and execute team league play, championship tournaments and group programs Operational experience with hydrogrid clay courts Scheduling oversight of professionals alongside DORS Work closely with the racquets professionals to include discipline and counseling Attend and co- facilitate departmental meetings Report all suspicious persons or activities, hazardous conditions, etc. to security department. Attend all mandatory meetings Provide general public assistance, instruction and/or guidance for guests Keep work area neat and organized Ensure overall upkeep of tennis area. Coordinate any necessary repair or maintenance needs promptly. Maintain inventory of equipment and report needs to DORS Lead communications with team captains alongside Director of Racquet Sports Prepare reports on program performance and feedback as requested Complete all other duties as assigned by Director of Racquet Sports Safety Requirements Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) may be required when performing work duties that may have the potential of risk to your health or safety. The hotel will provide the required PPE. Team members will be trained in the proper use and care of any assigned PPE. It is your responsibility to report defective, damaged or lost PPE, or equipment that does not fit properly, to your Manager. Internal Relationships Frequent interaction will take place with the recreation teams of tennis, golf, spa, activities, fitness and pool operations. External Relationships Guests and members and vendors Qualifications Ability to provide excellent customer service to resort guests and members Ability to stand or walk for prolonged periods of time in uncertain conditions. Ability to play tennis in multiple weather scenarios, control in emergency situations. Education High School graduate or equivalent preferred CPR and Basic First Aid certification required. Grooming / Uniforms All employees must maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance. Specific uniform guidelines and/or required articles of clothing will be explained to you as a part of the orientation process. Notice: The hospitality business functions seven (7) days a week, twenty-four hours a day. In addition, this is a hospitality business and a hospitable service atmosphere must be projected at all times.
