Respiratory Therapist - Full Time

Essential Duties The Respiratory Therapist 1 is responsible for patients with respiratory and related equipment. The RT‑1 role includes assessment of patient needs, selection, instruction, and troubleshooting of appropriate equipment and services. The role requires maintaining accurate documentation and is eligible for transition to RT‑2 after one year of employment, subject to clinical leadership discretion and performance. Responsibilities Receive and document orders for respiratory equipment and services from customer service, patients, caregivers, physicians, or family members. Collect additional information and documentation from insurance or physicians as needed. Assess patient needs and determine the best respiratory therapy or service options. Provide instruction and education on proper use and care of respiratory equipment according to company policies and procedures. Communicate with physicians about changes in patient condition or needs and adjust the plan of care accordingly. Complete patient account paperwork, including plan of care and treatment assessments. Act as liaison among SuperCare Health, patients, families, caregivers, and physicians. Assume full responsibility for professional actions, skills, and attitudes. Follow all policies and procedures as outlined by JCAHO. Follow up on visits for respiratory patients and assist in continuity of care as needed. Provide 24‑hour on‑call service, seven days a week, as scheduled. Set up respiratory equipment within the appointment/estimated time of arrival to ensure patient satisfaction. Support marketing and other departments with required services. Demonstrate timeliness, courtesy, sincerity, and patience when dealing with patients. Maintain a professional, safe, and clean work environment. Education & Work Experience Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapist program (licensed RCP). Experience as a Respiratory Therapist. Thorough knowledge and skill in the respiratory care field. Excellent customer service and communication skills. People‑sensitive characteristics with a genuine desire to help others. Detail‑oriented. Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
