Job Description As a Security Officer for Cemetery Patrol in Whittier, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Cultural Institutions, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a memorial park location, you will drive routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and support visitors, staff, and guests with exceptional customer service and communication. You will report observations and respond professionally to security-related concerns while representing Allied Universal’s agile, reliable, innovative, caring, and integrity-driven culture. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $22.03 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeWed02:00 PM - 10:30 PMThur02:00 PM - 10:30 PMFri02:00 PM - 10:30 PMSat02:00 PM - 10:30 PMSun02:00 PM - 10:30 PM What You’ll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, families, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a memorial park and cultural institution location. Respond to incidents, visitor concerns, and critical situations in a calm, respectful, problem-solving manner, including situations involving grieving families and ceremonial services. Conduct regular and random patrols of grounds, buildings, parking areas, roadways, entrances, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns. Monitor access points and observe visitor, vehicle, and vendor activity in accordance with site-specific procedures, helping to deter unauthorized access and disruptive conduct. Complete accurate activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications, and promptly notify appropriate personnel of security-related concerns. Minimum Requirements: At least 1 year of security-related experience is required. A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A Security Professional Guard Card or license is preferred. The ability to lift up to 20 pounds is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
