Job Type: 6-Month Contract-to-Hire
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 3:30 PM, Monday-Friday
Pay: $26-$36/hour We are seeking a CAD Drafter / Mechanical Drafter to join a growing Mechanical Engineering team. This is a hands-on opportunity to work with a leading manufacturer of custom packaging automation equipment . The CAD Drafter will work closely with Senior Mechanical Engineers to take existing designs and concepts and create detailed, production-ready drawings for machine components, brackets, assemblies, and other mechanical parts. - Create and modify detailed mechanical drawings using SolidWorks
- Detail parts, brackets, assemblies, and machine components
- Make drawing revisions and corrections based on engineer feedback
- Create manufacturing drawings and BOMs
- Maintain accurate CAD files and revisions
- Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and assembly teams
- Mechanical CAD drafting/detailing experience
- SolidWorks experience required
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Strong attention to detail
- Comfortable taking direction and making revisions
- Manufacturing, OEM, automation, or machinery experience is a plus
- SolidWorks PDM experience is preferred
