Seven Healthcare are seeking a competent RN for a Med Surg Travel assignment in Alexandria, LA. This position involves working in a Basic Med Surg Unit, where you will practice independently and handle routine and complex care. The role requires floating to meet unit requirements and involves working nights with a weekend requirement every other weekend. Temporary to permanent placement is a possibility in this supportive and dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• Meet expectations of the applicable OneCHRISTUS Competencies: Leader of Self, Leader of Others, or Leader of Leaders
• Provide nursing care utilizing the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation for assigned patients
• Address increasingly complex psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families
• Administer medications and treatments according to protocol; monitor for side-effects and effectiveness
• Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care given
• Assess learning needs and provide education to patients, family members, and/or caregivers

Requirements of the RN - Med Surg - Travel

• BLS certification via AHA required
• RN License in state of employment or compact
• 1 year of experience in the related nursing specialty preferred
• Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing preferred
