Make a meaningful difference in students’ lives by delivering inclusive special education in a supportive school environment. Two contract opportunities are available for certified educators skilled in cross-categorical special education for the 2026–2027 academic year. You’ll work with middle or high school students with a range of mild-to-moderate disabilities, providing instruction, support, and advocacy to help each student reach their highest potential.
Desired Qualifications:
- Valid Wisconsin Cross-Categorical Special Education certification (License #2801) required
- Demonstrated experience supporting students on the autism spectrum
- Previous experience teaching students with learning disabilities, emotional/behavior disorders, or mild intellectual disabilities preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills for engaging with students, families, and staff
- Ability to adapt instruction and provide differentiated support in an inclusive classroom setting
- Commitment to fostering a positive learning environment for diverse learners
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct instruction and individualized educational support to assigned students in grades 6–8 (middle school) or 9–12 (high school)
- Develop and implement IEPs according to state guidelines and student needs
- Adapt lessons and instructional strategies for cross-categorical settings
- Collaborate with general education teachers, therapists, and families to ensure comprehensive support
- Promote social and emotional growth alongside academic progress for all students
- Monitor, document, and report on student progress and outcomes
