The Opportunity

We are seeking a Student Intern to support government and public affairs-related activities through research stakeholder engagement meeting coordination and legislative monitoring. This opportunity will provide hands-on exposure to public policy regulatory developments legislative processes and stakeholder relations while contributing to informed business decision-making. The Student Intern will gain valuable experience analyzing political and regulatory issues preparing research and summaries and supporting engagement with both internal and external stakeholders.

What youll do

• Support general office and administrative activities.
• Conduct research to support team members and business initiatives.
• Coordinate meeting logistics and assist with preparation for meetings involving internal and external stakeholders.
• Prepare summaries of U.S. legislative activities including hearings and legislation.
• Track and monitor regulatory developments relevant to TC Energy.
• Assist with additional projects and duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Political Science or related degree program
• Completion of at least one academic term prior to the start of the work term in May 2027
• Returning to full-time studies immediately following the work term
• Availability to work full-time (40 hours per week) for the duration of the work term

Preferred Qualifications

• Familiarity with U.S. politics and Congress
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office
• Strong writing skills
• Demonstrate a safety mindset in a professional and personal setting
• Exhibit the TC Energy corporate values and incorporate them into work activities and initiatives
• Strong interpersonal and communicative skills to work efficiently in a collaborative team environment
• Commitment to building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders
• Ability to accurately analyze information and deal with ambiguity
• Experience working in a dynamic and challenging environment and adaptable to changing priorities
• Ability to multi-task effectively with strong organizational and time management skills
• Reflective and committed to continuous improvement and personal development
