Ability to participate in call rotation

Description:
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of patient care in the operating room, including prepping, draping, positioning, and moving patients.
Demonstrates a working knowledge of surgical procedures and provides necessary instruments, supplies, and equipment.
Responsible for setting up and maintaining sterile fields.
Shares responsibility with the registered professional nurse for correct counts of instruments, sponges, needles, and sharps.
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of medications used during surgical procedures and is responsible for accurate identification and labeling.
Demonstrates comprehensive knowledge of the handling of specimens.
Assists the surgical team with room turnover and preparation for procedures.
Knowledgeable and responsible for the use of correct implants/prostheses for each procedure.
Participates in the surgical site and patient verification during the timeout procedure.
Able to meet the physical demands of the position.
Ability to participate in current and future training programs to learn new functions necessary for the operating room to provide improved services.
Cancellation policy allows for the cancellation of one week's worth of guaranteed hours over a 13-week period.
