Facilities Electrical Project Engineer – Hampton, VA Emerge is recruiting a direct hire Facilities Electrical Project Engineer in Hampton, VA, for a leading manufacturer. In this role, you will manage and support a variety of electrical and automation projects across a large, complex manufacturing facility. You'll be part of a collaborative team working to enhance safety, reliability, and efficiency in all areas of the operation. Salary: $90,000 to $115,000 per year Bonus: 5% target bonus paid annually Benefits: Start on day one, including a robust 401K plan, several medical plans, an annual pay increase of 4% or more, and opportunity for growth. Relocation Assistance: Relocation assistance available Key Responsibilities Manage electrical and controls scopes for capital improvement, obsolescence, and process optimization projects Coordinate full lifecycle of assigned projects: scope development, bidding, equipment selection, installation, startup, and closure Provide engineering support for production and maintenance teams to resolve equipment and process issues Lead PLC, HMI, and robotic programming efforts across all plant facilities and systems Maintain accurate records of all automation systems and changes Drive improvements to existing automation technology and infrastructure Ensure compliance with company and regulatory safety policies, including oversight of EHS procedures Supervise contractor activity and ensure adherence to electrical codes and standards Qualifications Bachelor's degree in ELECTRICAL Engineering from an accredited institution Minimum 5 years of experience with electrical systems including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and power distribution Experience managing technical projects in a manufacturing environment This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR), which requires U.S. person status; ITAR defines U.S. person as a U.S. Citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (i.e., "Green Card Holder"), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
