Operations Manager

The Operations Manager will lead and optimize manufacturing operations for the production of natural food coloring products. This individual will oversee daily production activities, drive continuous improvement, ensure compliance with food safety and quality requirements, and build the processes, systems, and teams needed to support future growth. The role requires a hands-on leader with a strong technical experience in process manufacturing and regulated production environments.

Responsibilities
  • Lead daily production activities to ensure efficient operations.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing processes.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety and quality requirements.
  • Build and optimize processes, systems, and teams to support organizational growth.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve yield and troubleshoot complex operations.
Essential Skills
  • Technical degree in Chemical Engineering, Food Engineering, Process Engineering, or related technical discipline.
  • Experience within food, beverage, pharmaceutical, or other highly regulated manufacturing environments.
  • Strong understanding of process manufacturing, process controls, quality systems, and regulatory requirements.
  • Knowledge of GMP, SQF, food safety, quality, and environmental compliance standards.
  • 5+ years in an Operations, Manufacturing, or Plant Leadership role.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience in food ingredients, food colorings, flavors, specialty chemicals, nutraceuticals, or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience.
  • FDA, HACCP, GMP, SQF, or similar quality system experience.
  • Experience scaling operations during periods of rapid organizational growth.

Job Type & Location: This is a Permanent position based out of Dallas, NC.

Pay and Benefits: The pay range for this position is $140,000.00 - $170,000.00/yr. Benefits include profit sharing, annual performance bonus, annual merit increases, 401(k) with company match (up to 5%), 160 hours paid vacation, 80 hours paid sick time, 12 paid holidays annually, wellness program, company-paid medical and ancillary benefits through Blue Cross Blue Shield and Mutual of Omaha, and excellent career growth opportunities.

Workplace Type: This is a fully onsite position in Dallas, NC.
