You're energized by meaningful patient interaction and take pride in creating positive experiences for individuals, children, and families.Other qualifications include:1+ years' experience Orthodontics AssistingCurrent State of Washington Dental Assistant RegistrationAbility to multi-task in a fast-paced environmentExcellent communication skills to work effectively with patients, parents, and clinic staffHealthcare BLS and WISHA trainings, preferredAbility to pass a pre-employment professional references checkWhat You'll Do: As an Orthodontic Assistant you will work chairside with the doctor to promote good dental and general health through education and patient interaction.A typical day will consist of:Preparing patients for appointments by welcoming, soothing, seating and draping patientAnswer questions and provide parents, or guardians with information about patients' oral health, treatment, and hygieneCommunicate and work alongside dental staff to provide the patient with high level of careAssist chairside during orthodontic proceduresPlace and remove brackets and bandsTake digital x-rays and clinical photographsPerform intraoral scanning (Invisalign) and bonding of attachmentsSterilize instruments and maintain operatory cleanlinessFabricate retainers and other lab tasksCollaborate with doctors and team members to provide exceptional care
