*Seasonal work from October to December*

SUMMARY

The mover/helper loads and unloads vehicles containing household goods, office furniture or other goods in a safe and careful manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to, the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Assists in the inspection of the truck assigned for noted damages, flat or worn tires and travel worthiness.

• Assists in the preparation of vehicle before leaving warehouse to assure that all materials are placed on vehicle and that any defects are noted and all fluid levels are checked and taken care of.

• Properly and safely lifts, packs, loads and unloads the vehicle as required.

• Writes complete and accurate inventory of household contents, office furniture or other goods when required.

• Assists in any capacity as directed by the crew leader on the assigned job.

• Assists when necessary, in any operation of the warehouse.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED) and one to three months related training

LANGUAGE and COMMUNICATION SKILLS

Ability to speak, read, write, and comprehend instructions communicated in English.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS

Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume and distance.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one - or two - step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.
