Come join our award-winning team as an overnight Valet at the TownePlace Suites by Marriott in downtown Salt Lake City. Position is full-time, Fridays/Saturdays/Sundays/Mondays, OVERNIGHT 11pm-7am. Must be 21+, pass a mandatory background check and drug test, have a valid driver license and clean driving record. Pay is hourly with potential for tips. As Valet, you will greet guests in a professional manner as they arrive at the hotel during the overnight hours, ensuring their needs are met. Guests will feel at ease when they leave their car with you or request for a car to be ready for their early departure.

Duties include:

• Extend a warm, friendly welcome to arriving guests.
• Carefully and efficiently park, secure, and retrieve vehicles.
• Respond helpfully to guest questions about the property, getting around and nearby happenings.
• Communicate parking procedures to guests.
• Resolve guest complaints, ensuring guest satisfaction.
• Graciously assist guests with issues arising out of the parking experience.
• Making sure all public areas/walkways are safe and clutter-free. (This includes helping Maintenance Department in the winter with snow removal).
• Consistently demonstrates conscientious cash handling in accordance with departmental procedures

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be 21+, pass a mandatory background check and drug test.
• Must possess a valid driver license with clean driving record
• A calm, service-oriented demeanor.
• Ability to drive manual and automatic vehicles.
• Ability to effectively monitor hotel for any safety/security issues.
• Strong communication skills.
• This role requires the ability to move and lift up to 40 pounds occasionally, walking and running during high business levels to retrieve cars.
• High school education or equivalent experience is required, with prior customer service experience helpful.
• Previous cash handling experience is preferred

Compensation: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
