Job Description:
This travel Emergency Room Registered Nurse assignment offers the opportunity to care for adult and pediatric patients in a Level 2 trauma setting that receives STEMI and stroke patients. You will assess and treat a broad range of emergency conditions, including chest pain, sepsis, abdominal pain, syncope, elevated heart rate, headaches, and suicide ideation. Responsibilities include ambulance and walk-in triage, emergency interventions, medication administration, rhythm monitoring, and collaboration with physicians, advanced practice providers, paramedics, technicians, respiratory therapy, and diagnostic services. The department includes emergency and urgent care services, dedicated trauma and resuscitation spaces, and pediatric treatment needs. Night-shift nurses may occasionally take a patient assignment as charge responsibilities require. Every other weekend and holiday coverage is expected, with no routine call requirement.
