Position Summary BBI Construction Management is hiring an Estimator to support preconstruction and business development through accurate cost estimating, subcontractor engagement, and early project planning. The role owns conceptual budgets, detailed estimates, bid proposals, and value engineering recommendations for commercial construction projects. The right candidate has estimated both renovation and ground-up commercial work, and understands what changes when construction happens inside an occupied building. Key Responsibilities Prepare conceptual, schematic, and detailed construction estimates. Perform quantity takeoffs and cost analysis. Solicit and evaluate subcontractor and supplier pricing. Develop bid packages and proposal documents. Participate in preconstruction planning and budgeting. Identify value engineering opportunities and cost savings. Analyze drawings, specifications, and project requirements. Maintain estimating databases and historical cost data. Support business development and client presentations. Coordinate with project teams through project turnover and startup. Required Qualifications 3-10 years of commercial construction estimating experience. Experience with renovation and/or ground-up commercial projects. Strong understanding of construction means and methods. Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications. Experience performing quantity takeoffs and cost analysis. Working knowledge of estimating software and Microsoft Office. Strong analytical and organizational skills. Clear communication and negotiation ability. Healthcare, higher education, municipal, or institutional project experience preferred. Design-Build experience preferred.
