Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months.

• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience.

• Travel experience is required within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Epic experience is preferred.

• Trauma Level 2 experience is required.

• BSN completion required.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a California license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Local & travel allowed. Candidates living <75 miles from facility will be processed as local.

• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.

• COVID booster required after submission. Declinations not accepted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - UCSF.

Additional Details:

You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.

Required Skills/Experience: - Minimum 2.5 years of recent adult medical/surgical critical care RN experience. - ECMO, IABP, Impella, LVAD, CRRT, and PA Catheter experience required.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Variety in critical care experience preferred: med/surg, cardiac, neuro. - Recent Float Pool, PACU, or Emergency Room experience preferred. - Teaching hospital experience is preferred.

Special Requests: - All RTO must be submitted at time of offer. RTO sent after contract is signed will not be considered. - RTO time must be added back to the end of the contract. - If CA state licensure is 3 months or less from expiration, proof that the renewal process has been initiated is required to apply.

Unit Details: - Adult and geriatric patient population.

Shift & Scheduling: - Day/night rotating 12-hour shifts. - One 4-week schedule cycle will be either shift, but may switch to the opposite shift in another schedule cycle depending on need. - Shift times are 07:00 - 19:30 and 19:00 - 07:30.

Floating Requirements: - Float pool position, not unit based. - Must have the ability to float to other UCSF facilities and departments, including all TCUs and ICUs, ED, PACU, and Acute Care/Tele/TCU units. - May be assigned to UCSF sites including Parnassus, Mission Bay, or Mount Zion. - Acute Care/Tele/TCU float assignments may have up to 3:1 assignments. - ED assignments may include boarded patients; PACU assignments may include boarded patients or assisting with tasks.

• AUTO OFFER - NO INTERVIEW : This is an auto-offer position. You will likely not interview with the facility prior to receiving an offer. However, an interview can be arranged upon request. All time off requests must be submitted at application. Scheduling requests must be worked out with the manager directly upon starting the assignment. Any offers for this job will require a clear “Yes” or “No” response from the nurse within 24hrs or the offer must be declined.

7 days maximum time off. Facility holidays: 11/26/2026, 12/25/2026, 01/01/2027. Number of holidays allowed off: 1
