Are you ready to build your career by joining a healthcare provider? If so, our client is hiring an Authorization Representative. Position Type:
- Contract
- 13 Weeks Contract
- Shift Day 5x8-Hour (08:30 - 17:00)
- Experience Requirements:
- MUST have EPIC experience.
- Must have experience working in Work Queue's.
- Must have at least one year of experience working in a Medical Office conducting insurance authorizations.
- Locals accepted: Yes. Highly preferred
- Type of Facility: Office Building. Will be working in a cubicle setting.
- Referral Specialist initiates a variety of external and internal referral processing and skilled clerical duties in support of the physician offices.
- Communicate with internal and external medical offices and insurance companies to ensure provider referral requests are processed timely and accurately.
- Performs all duties in a manner which promotes team concept and reflects the mission and values of the Health System.
- Duties:
- Referral processing.
- Obtains insurance authorizations.
- Scanning and faxing.
- Preparing/maintaining records.
- Responding to correspondence.
- Ability to answer a multi-line phone system.
- Adheres to established company compliance, policies, procedures and protocols.
- All other duties as assigned.
