Experienced Actuarial Analyst

Select Actuarial Services is an independent property and casualty actuarial consulting firm. We specialize in the analysis of risks retained by non-insurance entities, either through self-insurance or captive insurance company arrangements. We have an established base of long-term, satisfied clients in many fields, and we are growing. This growth has compelled us to look for a qualified experienced team member. We are currently seeking to hire a team member to work with us in a consulting environment. Initial duties will include analysis of data in electronic spreadsheets, running loss modeling software, checking exhibits for accuracy and interfacing with clients. Select Actuarial Services offers a competitive salary, a full exam program and a comprehensive benefits package. The qualified applicant will hold an undergraduate degree in math or actuarial science (candidates with degrees in other fields and a strong math background will be considered). Having passed Exams P, FM, MAS I and MAS II along with 3-5 years of actuarial experience is preferred. Strong verbal and written communication skills are also essential for success in a consulting environment. Computer know-how is important, with spreadsheet skills being the most valuable. Qualified applicants must be detail-oriented and capable of working in a team environment in Nashville, Tennessee. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship.
