Provides individualized diabetes self-management education/training to individuals and groups according to the Competencies and Practice levels for Diabetes Educators.

Required Qualifications:

• Education to meet certification, license or registration requirement.
• Upon hire: Washington Dietitian Certification or
• Upon hire: Washington Nutritionist Certification.
• Upon hire: National CDR Registered Dietitian - Commission on Dietetic Registration.
• Upon hire: Certified Diabetes Care and Education Specialist (CDCES), or preparing for the NCBDE qualifying examination.
• 6 months experience providing diabetes education and/or 15 contact hours within past year in diabetes and diabetes clinical and educational subjects.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Upon hire: Credentialed as a diabetes education specialist or diabetes clinical management specialist.
• Upon hire: CDE certified.
• 3 years' experience as a healthcare professional.

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. These amounts are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
