We brought the milkman back in 2001 and have been making home deliveries to the DMV area for 24 years and counting! We believe every contribution (big or small) is worth making remarkable enough to be remembered, or more simply put, whatever we do, we make it legendairy.We are currently hiring for a Home Delivery Driver at our Home Farm location in Middletown, MD. Candidates for this position must be 21 years of age or older. Our Delivery Drivers are the driving force of SMC (get it?) – without our Delivery Team, SMC would not be where we are today. It's a crew made up of self-motivated, safe, and detail-oriented people – are you ready to join us?This position is scheduled to start at 9:00 p.m. Duties include, but are not limited to:Driving delivery routes – which may include areas like Baltimore, Virginia, and DCLoading and unloading vehiclesLifting 40-50lbs from ground level to waist heightCarrying deliveries to the customer's preferred delivery locationReminder: we bottle in glass bottlesUtilizing a tablet to read customer ordersSelecting the correct bagsSelecting the correct milk/tea/lemonade bottlesMaking accurate deliveriesCompleting other delivery tasks as neededAssisting other departments as neededHome Delivery Drivers are paid a base rate that is calculated either per stop or per day, depending on the route, and can receive tips from customers. Safe and effective drivers are eligible for monthly bonus pay!
