We support various patient needs, focusing on geriatric care and recovery. Certifications Required BLS (Basic Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Experience Requirements Applicants must have a minimum of 2 years of nursing experience, preferably within a travel nursing capacity. Patient Care Overview The successful candidate will work in a team nursing environment and handle a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:8. Common patient types include: Dementia Dependent older adults Diabetes Rehab and restorative care post-acute illness IV medication and fluid/blood administration COVID-19 cases Wound care Initial care of trauma patients in the Emergency Room Exacerbation of chronic illnesses Essential Skills Understanding of dementia and stroke care Expertise in skin care for geriatric patient populations Ability to titrate IV drips, including electrolytes, hypertensive medications, IV antibiotics, and blood transfusions Shift Information 12-hour shifts: 0645-1915 and 1845-0715 Self-scheduling available with block scheduling upon request Weekend requirement: Every other Holiday requirement: Alternating, typically every other holiday Orientation and Training New hires will undergo three shifts of unit-specific orientation to ensure a smooth integration into the team. Additional Information No participation in on-call or standby. Floating will be required between the ER and MedSurg units.
