FOH Lead / Lead Barista

New General is looking for a strong Front of House Lead to join our team.

We’re seeking someone who is self-motivated, dependable, and understands the difference between hospitality and service — someone who leads by example, creates a welcoming environment, and helps keep the team aligned and energized through busy shifts.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily operations when the Supervisor is off and co-lead alongside them when scheduled together
• Help motivate, organize, and inspire the team throughout service
• Provide warm, attentive, and professional guest experiences
• Prepare hot and cold beverages to recipe and quality standards
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the café
• Follow all health and safety procedures
• Communicate clearly and professionally with both guests and team members
• Assist with problem-solving and maintaining flow during high-volume periods
• Full weekend availability required (Friday, Saturday, Sunday)

Qualifications

• Previous barista experience required
• Strong leadership presence and work ethic
• High integrity with reliable attendance
• Excellent communication and multitasking skills
• Ability to stay calm and organized in a fast-paced environment
• Detail-oriented and proactive
• Someone who naturally motivates others and contributes to a positive team culture
• Personable and confident building relationships with both staff and guests
