Registered Nurse (RN) - Labor & Delivery

Position Information:

  • Facility Department/Cost Center: 6600
  • Specialty: Obstetrics / Gynecology / Neonatal Care / Pediatrics
  • Shift: 6:45 AM - 7:15 PM
  • Weekend Hours: As required
  • Call Requirements: Yes
  • Required Certifications: ACLS, NRP, BLS, PALS, Intermediate Fetal Monitoring
  • Years of Experience: 1-2 years
  • Float Requirements: PCU/ED/Medsurg
Unit Information:
  • Number of Beds: 11
  • Patient Ratios: 4:1 for Labor, 6:1 for Postpartum, 5:1 for Gynecology
  • EHR: Parragon
  • Patient Population: Infants, Adolescents, Adults, Pediatrics, Geriatrics
Hiring Profile:
  • Must Have Skills/Experience: Relevant experience in obstetrics and gynecological care.
  • Preferred Skillset/Experience: Experience in labor care, CS recovery, postpartum care, and clean med-surg overflow.
  • Common Diagnosis/Treatment: Pregnancy, preterm labor triage & observation, labor care, cesarean section recovery, postpartum care, and gynecological surgeries.
  • Personality Fit: Collaborative, compassionate, and adaptable.
  • Required Education: Associate's Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Dress Code:
  • Scrub Color: Specify as per facility guidelines.
  • Any unacceptable attire: Ensure adherence to professional attire standards.
