About the Role:

Join MERRICK ORAL SURGERY PLLC as a Dental Assistant - Front Desk, where you will be the welcoming face of our practice! As a vital part of our team, you will help ensure a seamless experience for our patients while supporting our oral surgery specialists in a dynamic environment.  Bi-lingual is a plus at the front desk.  Part time-Full time available.

Responsibilities:

• Greet and check in patients with a warm and friendly demeanor.
• Manage appointment scheduling and maintain an organized calendar for the practice.
• Assist with patient intake procedures and ensure accurate documentation.
• Process insurance claims and verify patient insurance eligibility.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front desk and waiting area.
• Communicate effectively with patients regarding treatment plans and follow-up care.
• Collaborate with dental staff to ensure efficient patient flow and care.
• Handle phone inquiries and provide information about services offered.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; dental assistant certification preferred.
• Previous experience in a dental or healthcare setting is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with patients and staff.
• Proficient in dental software and basic office applications.
• Ability to multitask and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and procedures is a plus.
