About the Position

Job Title: Physical Therapist (Outpatient) Profession: Therapy/Rehabilitation Specialty: Physical Therapy Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 10 hours Experience: 1 year outpatient experience required License: Wisconsin Physical Therapist License preferred; pending license accepted Certifications: BLS required Must-Have: - Outpatient orthopedic experience - Ability to conduct 60-minute one-on-one sessions with no overlapping patients Description: The position is for a physical therapist in an outpatient setting. The therapist will work four ten-hour days per week. The schedule will include two days from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM and two days from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday. The role involves conducting evaluations, implementing treatment plans, and providing education to patients and families. Strong assessments and treatment skills in orthopedics are necessary. The patient demographic includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics with a daily census of approximately 8-9 patients. Experience in managing conditions such as ankle sprains, degenerative joint disease, post-operative rehabilitation, and spinal conditions is essential. Interdisciplinary collaboration and patient safety are key components of this role. Successful candidates will have proven time management skills and the ability to prioritize patient care effectively. Additional skills that may be beneficial include knowledge in cognitive disorders, multiple sclerosis, and various orthopedic conditions.
